Complaints procedure

Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility to the website, mobile application or any elements thereof. You can also request information to be made available using an alternative means of access, for example by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc.

The request should contain the particulars of the person filing the request, indication of the website or mobile application it concerns and contact information. If the requesting person reports the need to receive information by means of an alternative method of access, they should also specify a convenient mode of presenting such information to them.

The public entity should promptly satisfy the request, not later than within 7 days from the date the request was filed. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public entity will promptly notify the person filing the request about the time when the request can be satisfied, however, this deadline may not exceed 2 months from the date of filing the request.

If the provision of digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may offer an alternative access to the information. If the public entity refuses to comply with the request to provide accessibility or an alternative method to access the information, the person filing the request may lodge a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility to the website, mobile application or an element of the website or mobile application. After exhausting the above-mentioned procedure, an application may be filed with the Commissioner for Human Rights.

Entrance to the building

The main entrance to the building equipped with an automatic door automatically opened after entering the sensor area. The door 175 centimetres wide. An intercom placed in front of the entrance to communicate with the firefighter on duty from the facility. The main entrance area without steps, stairs or ramps. The ground floor of the building at theoutdoor ground level.

Corridors and passages

The interior of the building accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Traffic routes and rooms/offices located on the same level, without thresholds. Communication between floors ensured by lifts between levels 1 underground (underground garage/laboratories) and 5th floor. The doors in the lifts 100 centimetres wide. The buttons in the lifts with Braille markings. Voice announcements in some lifts switched off. It is possible to switch them on if necessary. Internal doors wide above 90 centimetres and can be opened manually. Handle and switches at standard heights.

Procedures

In situations where a person with disability requires assistance, it is best to report to the fire officer on duty. This can be done, for example, via intercoms located at the entrances to the building, by reporting to the main reception desk or directly to the firefighter on duty (room 0.43 in building A). The firefighter on duty is a person who has first aid training and is obliged to provide assistance.

Bathrooms, toilets, changing rooms

Toilets for persons with disabilities located on each floor of the building, in the vicinity of other toilets and are marked with an information sign on the entrance door. These rooms are equipped with a summoning system. In the event of an emergency situation in which help is needed, the need is signalled by pulling the marked cord located inside the room. This activity generates an acoustic signal in the firefighter's room with information about which room the call is coming from. A firefighter is obliged to recognize the situation and provide assistance. The cloakroom common for everyone, serviced by employees who collect and issue clothing.

Additional customizations

The classrooms without Braille descriptions. The interiors of the practice rooms mostly adapted for persons with disabilities. The floor without thresholds. Platforms for wheelchair users at the podiums with blackboards. Exercise rooms and halls with sound systems (microphones, amplifiers, loudspeakers). Access to the assembly hall for wheelchair users realised in accordance: 1. to room 0.06 from the ground floor. Stands for the persons with disabilities within the hall on the same level. To the cathedral level - through the corridor on level 1 underground, a lift can be taken there. 2. to halls 0.03 and 0.03a - from the ground floor level. Stands for persons with disabilities within the hall on the same level. To the cathedral level - via the Lecture Demonstration Studio. Access limited, the width of the access passage at the narrowest point - 105 centimetres. Not a public passage, passes through rooms with restricted access for third parties. The adaptation of the Library to serve the special user as follows: 1. the entrance to the Library adapted for wheelchair users, i.e. a wide door (opened with a handle) without thresholds. Free access to the book collection thanks to spacious rooms. In the library, free access and reading rooms all on one level, without any thresholds. In the open access area, the distance between the shelves allows access for a wheelchair user. 2. A special mouse for persons with visual impairments with paresis. 3. Also a Digital Touch HD magnifier for persons with disabilitiy of vision. No books for this gropu of persons with disabilities in the library. Also, no special computer station with an installed system for persons who cannot see and no reading device.

Access and parking spaces

A parking space for persons with mobility impairment located in the underground garage of building B. From there, accessible lifts provide access to the upper floors. Access to the building from the nearby public transport stops provided with the necessary ramps. No barriers like high kerbs.
