Open University
The Faculty of Physics is engaged in the Open University initiative run at the Warsaw University. It aims to deliver top rated education services to adults who want to develop their knowledge and skills. It offers courses to everybody disregarding their age or social background.
The regular courses organized by the Faculty of Physics in the recent years included:
- "Modern Physics in nature and technology" - a series of 15 lectures aiming to provide a comprehensive view on the applicability of physics in understanding both the secrets of nature and developing new technologies. The lectures covered wide range of problems ranging from climate changes, lasers, brain-computer interfaces to graphen and nanotechnology.
- "Modern elementary particle and nuclear physics" - a series of 15 lectures on the frontiers of modern physics, ranging from cosmology, star formation, accelerators, elementary particles to basic nuclear physics and its applications in medicine.
