Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic have been successfully and safely operating nuclear power plants for more than 30 years, and all four of the Visegrad Group countries see the development of the nuclear sector as an opportunity to ensure their countries' energy security and independence. That is why the offer of cooperation from the universities of South Korea, which has been building nuclear power plants continuously since 1971, was welcomed by the universities of the Visegrad Group countries, which have been training nuclear specialists for years. The first of a series of meetings: 1st V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resource Development, where universities shared their experiences and knowledge in training human resources for the nuclear power industry, was organised by KINGS University in Seoul in July 2023. At the 2nd Forum in Brno, rectors, vice-rectors, deans, professors, and researchers met politicians, representatives of nuclear industry companies, and the media to create a framework for university nuclear education and a roadmap for cooperation in the further development of the energy sector.
