VI National Crystallographic Olympiad

On June 24, 2025, the VI National Crystallographic Olympiad was held at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wroclaw. Among the seven distinguished finalists was Alicja Prężyna - a student of the College of MISMaP UW, studying at the Faculty of Physics UW.
This year's edition of the competition again featured teams of the best young Polish students of crystallography. A total of 29 participants took part, including 22 students and seven high school students. Of these, seven received the highest scores, including Alicja Prężyna, whom we congratulate!
The distinguished finalists received prizes that included a fully-funded trip to Rigaku's headquarters in Frankfurt for measurements, participation in the ECM 35 conference, seven books and a cash prize of PLN 5,000. The Olympiad is organized by the Committee on Crystallography of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and co-organizers are: Gdansk University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Jagiellonian University, University of Warsaw, University of Wroclaw and the Institute of Low Temperatures and Structural Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
