"Zapytaj fizyka" lecture - Particle Physics Show

On Tuesday, September 23, at 6:00 PM, students and research fellows from University of Bonn will host "Particle Physics Show" in the "Zapytaj fizyka" series. The co-creator and main coordinator of the show is Prof. Herbert Dreiner, a specialist in elementary particle physics. The show combines theatre and science in an unusual way: during the show two young characters will travel back in time to discover the secret of mass in particle physics. During their adventure they will meet prominent scientists form England (1910) , USA (1950), Germany (1980) and finally CERN laboratory in Geneva (2012), where they will witness a historic discovery of the Higgs boson in Large Hadron Collider (LHC). During the spectacle 25 physical experiments will be presented live on stage. The event will take place in room 0.03 at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, ul. Pasteura 5 (Warsaw).
