The winners of this year’s Nobel Prize in Physics are: John Clarke of the University of California, Berkeley, USA; Michel H. Devoret of Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA; and John M. Martinis of the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA.

The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded “for the discovery of macroscopic quantum tunneling and the quantization of energy in an electrical circuit.”
