Magnonics - information technology of the future?
Magnonics, is an emergent interdisciplinary field including fundamental physics, materials science, and potential practical applications. In magnonic devices, the quanta of spin waves, magnons, carry the information and in contrast to electronics, there is no transfer of charge involved in the transmission. Therefore, the Ohmic losses could be avoided. In this talk, I would like to points out the recent developments in magnonics that inspire promising next-generation applications in the field of high-speed all-magnonic information technology of the future, characterised by strong coherence and ultra-low-dissipation.
