Nuclear interactions from chiral lagrangians using gradient flow
Low-energy interactions between nucleons can be derived in a systematically improvable way using chiral perturbation theory. To enable applications to nuclear systems, it is necessary to replace dimensional regularization with a symmetry preserving cutoff. I will show how this can be achieved by merging chiral perturbation theory with the gradient flow method, which maintains the chiral and gauge symmetries. I will also present a novel approach for deriving nuclear interactions from regularized (nonlocal) effective lagrangians using the path integral formulation. This new methodology opens an avenue for high-precision studies of few-nucleon systems in the framework of chiral effective field theory. Zoom link: https://uw-edu-pl.zoom.us/j/2780321940
