Seminarium KMMF "Teoria Dwoistości"

The theory of superselection sectors, first developed inalgebraic quantum field theory and more recently adapted to quantum spinsystems by Naaijkens and Ogata, provides a rigorous description of theanyonic excitations hosted by gapped ground states of (2+1)-dimensionalquantum systems. After a brief introduction to the general framework, Iwill sketch how the sector theory can be computed explicitly in a classof exactly solvable models.
