Two surprises for teaching statistical physics
While working on research problems sometimes we encounter simple but surprising examples that can be used in teaching and can illustrate some general ideas. I will discuss two examples: 1. High-temperature expansion for ideal quantum gases with arbitrary energy dispersion: obtaining or not the classical limit (with V. Uzunowa) 2. Introduction to replica trick method and its application to spins in random magnetic field and to ideal quantum gases (with K. Jabłonowski).
