Spectroscopy of light nuclei at LNL

Seminarium zostanie wygłoszone w języku angielskim.
The seminar will be held in English.

Abstract: In this talk, I will present recent experimental results obtained at Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (LNL) using the AGATA array to investigate the structure of light nuclei. The first part will focus on the AGATA–PRISMA multi-nucleon transfer campaign dedicated to the study of neutron-rich Ne and Mg isotopes through lifetime measurements, with the aim of shedding light on the evolution of nuclear structure and collectivity towards the N = 20 island of inversion. I will then discuss results from the AGATA–EXOTIC campaign, in which light low-energy radioactive ion beams were produced and delivered to the AGATA array coupled to ancillary silicon detectors. Particular emphasis will be placed on the long-standing question of the quadrupole strength of 8Li, here investigated in a dedicated Coulomb excitation experiment. Implications in the context of state-of-the-art theoretical approaches, including ab initio calculations, will be discussed.
