Gamma rays emitted from excited states in N=Z=46 ⁹²Pd nucleus were observed for the first time, which is the result of a very selective experiment performed with a setup consisting of the EXOGAM, Neutron Wall and DIAMANT detectors at GANIL. Excitation energies of the 2+, 4+ and 6+ yrast states in ⁹²Pd were established, and the nearly constant energy spacing of these levels reveals evidence for a spin-aligned isoscalar neutron-proton coupling.
