Seminarium Fizyki Jądra Atomowego

The alpha decay island in the vicinity of the double shell closure at 100Sn constitutes an unique playground to look for enhanced alpha emission probabilities, thanks to the double shall closure N=Z=50 and to the proximity to the proton drip-line. In recent years considerable effort was devoted to the investigation of the decay properties of these nuclei, taking advantage of the development of new experimental techniques. The results will be presented in comparison to theoretical predictions.
