Two- and Three- dimensional Ising model using nVidia CUDA technology and Monte Carlo
In this presentation, we will try to show how one can perform fast (about 100 times faster than CPU) Ising calculations on GPU. Monte Carlo technique and nearest neighbours model will be used to construct basic environment for our simulations. The results will be presented to compare several different computing units, from ION to Tesla in GPU section and from Atom to Phenon in CPU section. Work was based on research performed by M. Weigel and F. Wende and extends further.
