Introduction to Superstring Theory Part II
In the second part of these lectures we will briefly outline how supersymmetry is incorporated into String Theory leading to a completely consistent quantum theory. We will then describe the spacetime effective action (known as supergravity) and its properties such as brane solutions. Finally we will aim to consider D-branes and the web of duality relations that lead to the notion of a unifying M-theory.
