Optoelectrical properties of a WSe2 based light-emitting tunneling van der Waals heterostructure in magnetic fields
By placing different two-dimensional crystals on top of each other one can create new intriguing systems, commonly referred to as van der Waals heterostructures. Here we report on an electrically driven light-emitting tunneling structure, which is based on ultrathin-layers of hBN, WSe2 and graphene. We present a study of the electroluminescence, photoluminescence and basic transport properties as a function of magnetic field, revealing effects like sub-band gap threshold electroluminescence and magneto-oscillations.
