The Level-1 muon trigger of the CMS experiment (focus on Warsaw Group activities)
The CMS triggering strategy and muon detectors are presented.The old Level-1 system with muon sub-triggers related to muon detectors, is discussed. It terminated its operation in 2015.The current Level-1 trigger system (Muon Track Finder) consists of barrel, endcap and overlap partitions. The trigger algorithms are explained and performance is shown.The overview of CMS Level-1 upgrade plans for LHC Phase-II is given.The works of Warsaw Group are emphasised.
