Quo Vadis Nuclear Physics in Europe?
The Nuclear Physics European Collaboration Committee (NuPECC) endorsed in the end of 2017 a Long Range Plan (LRP) in nuclear physics http://www.nupecc.org/lrp2016/Documents/lrp2017.pdf. The major recommendations of the LRP will be presented and discussed, with an emphasis on a role played by large scale infrastructures in nuclear physics and its applications. In particular, future trends in nuclear structure and astrophysics will be illustrated with recent results obtained at the GANIL-SPIRAL2 facility.
