Two plus four is equal to six
I will summarize properties of a number of exactly solvable quantum field theories in various dimensions – in particular two-dimensional conformal field theories, and four-dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories – and discuss dualities between these theories, originating from various compactifications of the theory of M5-branes.
