WISArD - Probing beyond SM with beta delayed protons
WISarD ( Weak-Interaction Studies with 32Ar Decay ) is an upcoming experiment with goal of putting new limits on an exotic currents contribution in weak interactions by studying beta-decay of 32Ar. Thanks to observing beta particle in correlation with high energy resolution delayed proton measurement, the projected precision exceed level of 1‰. This level of precision is on par with latest HEP experiment and so our results will make an excellent cross-check.
During my talk I will present the WISArD setup and what tricks allow us to reach this high sensitivity. I will also recount current progress of preparing the setup at CERN ISOLDE facility, with some additional look on the area of the project that I'm responsible for: the new silicon detectors designed specifically for this measurement.
