Revealing excitonic properties of 2D perovskites by means of magnetooptical studies
Two-dimensional (2D) metal halide perovskites provide reach playground to study exciton physics in 2D limit. They consist of atomically thin layers composed of low band gap metal-halide slabs, surrounded by high band gap organic ligands. In this seminar, I will highlight how the use of extreme magnetic fields (up to 67T) has been an extremely insightful tool to unravel some of the electronic properties of 2D perovskites.I will focus on the fundamental aspects such as carrier effective mass, exciton fine structure, and exciton-phonon coupling and how this properties can be controlled in this materials system.
