Versatile single photons sources using active frequency multiplexing
Single emitters constitute the obvious choice to build a single photon source but they are limited in their tuneability. We will review an alternative to single emitters that relies on the actively multiplexed heralded photon sources addressing both theoretical and experimental aspects.
