Nanostructured optical components: new opportunities and functionalities

The concept of nanostructuring is based on the idea that the introduction of subwavelength elementscan significantly alter the macroscopic optical properties of the system. During the presentation, Iwill discuss how the nanostructured materials which exhibit epsilon-near-zero property or nonlocaleffects can be efficiently used to control dispersion [1], electron temporal dynamics [2], lightmodulation or nonlinear effects [3].[1] T.
