"Solid State Physics at the ISOLDE facility at CERN"

The ISOLDE facility at CERN has been a hub for the development of radioactive-probe techniques and their application in solid state physics and related fields. In this talk, I will give an overview of the radioactive-probe techniques that are currently available at ISOLDE and review some of my own recent work using some of them, from long-standing activities on doping of semiconductors [1,2], to emerging topics such as color centers in diamond for quantum technologies [3] and more multidisciplinary topics at the border with Nuclear Physics [4] and Particle Physics.[1] "Lattice location of Mg in GaN: a fresh look at doping limitations".
